mugdalenes: has been devised with the aim of meeting two needs: helping recently graduated members keep in touch with each other and encouraging them to help the college in a significant but financially undemanding way. graduation is a time of mixed emotions and of good intentions, chief amongst which is the promise to keep in touch with one's contemporaries. mugdalenes is designed to help make this intention a reality for everyone by creating a focussed networking facility for remote communication and frequent opportunities for reunions. the first official college reunion for recent graduates takes place on ma day - some three or so years after graduation. ma privileges, including a termly dining entitlement, provide further opportunities to return to college. mugdalenes offers a complete package which spans the interim three years - those in which graduates are most likely to lose contact with highly mobile college friends. it offers members the opportunity to meet back in college as well as to maintain a group identity whilst they are away building their careers. in return for a commitment to give to the magdalene campaign just £10 per year for three years, mugdalenes receive: [a] full free access to the alumni & development office’s services: including all college publications and newsletters, webALUMNUS, magdalene plus and other online services; [b] a reunion lunch/event in college (open to subscribers only) sometime in the summer, eighteen months after graduation and eighteen months before ma day; [c] an exclusive magdalene mug as a desk-top reminder of your place amongst a circle of like-minded life-long friends, and [d] recognition as a donor in the annual list of donors published in the college magazine and in the roll of donors to collegiate cambridge’s 800th campaign you can enrol as a mugdalene here |
