the college's major festival for 2008-9 was the landscape festival organised by jane hughes and tom spencer. a series of exhibitions and competitions ran throughout the festival and a major conference was organised during it. it began with an "open garden" day during which the college's gardens were open to the public. this was followed by a plenary lecture by dame fiona reynolds.
